Abstract:
The study was undertaken to analyze the impact of training and development on employee
performance in Coral Property Developers (Pvt) Ltd. The dependent variable is employee
performance and the independent variable is Training and Development of this study.
The dimensions of Training and Development are on the job training, off the job training, Job
enrichment, and Job rotation. The specific objectives of the study were: to identify the level of
training and Development to identify the level of employee performance and to explore the
relationship between Training and development and employees performance.
This study is followed by quantitative research approach and primary data is gathered through
survey method by using structured questionnaire of five point- Likert scale method from Technical
employees. The population size of the particular organization is 80 employees. Although 56
employees are selected through method of simple random sampling as a sample size by using
Morgan table, response rate was 100%.
The collected data analyzed by using SPSS through statistical techniques such as validity and
reliability testing, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, regression analysis and hypothesis
testing. This study has used multiple regression for formulating the regression equation among
employee performance and Training and Development. Findings of this study found that there is
no significant impact of on the job training,off the job training, Job enrichment, and Job rotation
on employee performance. Basing on the findings of the study it is recommended that Training
and Development program to be amended as today’s requirement of the company to face any
changes in the industry with the globalization. Organization can introduce financial incentives;
promotions to employees bring out the best of them which in turn maximize their job
performance.
