Abstract:
The main objective of this study is to find out the Impact of employee performance and job
satisfaction on the work life balance of ABC bank (branch banking) executives in Colombo
region in Sri Lanka.
Work life balance is a vital tool which maximize the capabilities of the employee output. Worklife balance can be well-defined as managing the time allocations with the work and the family
accomplishments. The research has been designed to find out the correlation and the regression
of the individual work performance and job satisfaction with the work life balance .It is found
with the existing literature that the work life balance aids in improving the productivity of the
employees to perform better in their job roles and also it enhances the personal health and the
relationships with others leading to better and happier life.
This report comprise of five chapters. The chapter 01 is an introduction to the company which
consist of the details on the ABC bank and the research problem and the research questions of
the study. Chapter 02 consist of details of the previous empirical studies and a detailed literature
review on the topic .Chapter 03 consist of conceptual framework and the methodology of the
study whereas Chapter 04 consist of data interpretation and the correlation and the regression
analysis was conducted. Chapter 05 provide the recommendations and conclusions based on
the data findings.
This study emphasis on finding out the relation between the individual work performance and
the job satisfaction with the work life balance and the policies to improve work life balance
and other factors are suggested accordingly.
