Abstract:
Online learning has been a key component of ABC Organization. However, there are
challenges faced by students who enroll in online courses. Hence, this research aimed to
examine and comprehend specific factors that influence their online learning. Hypotheses
were developed with five independent variables such as lecturer support, peer interactions,
self-efficacy, curriculum and design, and technology literacy. The dependent variable was
online learning. A quantitative research approach and questionnaires were used. Responses
were obtained from 120 students in third and fourth year. SPSS was used to analyze
demographic and descriptive analyses. The hypotheses tested using correlation and regression
models confirmed that lecturer support, peer interactions, self-efficacy, curriculum and
design, and technology literacy all have significant positive effect on online learning. The
study findings confirm that lecturer support is crucial in enhancing the online learning,
providing essential interactions and feedback that mitigate the feelings of isolation common
in virtual environments. Peer interactions emerged as vital for fostering a sense of community
and collaboration, significantly enriching the online learning. Furthermore, self-efficacy was
identified as a key determinant of students’ engagement and success in online learning,
highlighting the importance of confidence in being accountable for their own learning. The
study also underscored the significance of curriculum and design, pointing to the need for
interactive and well-structured courses that motivate and satisfy students. finally, technology
literacy was found to play a dual role, facilitating access to learning while presenting
challenges that require careful management to ensure effective online learning. Hence, this
research contributes valuable insights into the factors influencing online learning among
students. by addressing the identified factors, educators, administrators, and policymakers can
enhance the quality and effectiveness of online learning in higher education, ensuring it meets
the diverse needs of students.
