Abstract:
By addressing specific gaps in the existing literature, especially a notable paucity of research
on employee happiness at a chosen software business in Sri Lanka, the current study adds to
the body of knowledge on factors that lead to employee satisfaction. The study's objectives
are to investigate various elements pertaining to employee satisfaction in Sri Lankan software
organizations as well as occupational health and safety. Using a self-administrative
questionnaire and a descriptive survey methodology, data were collected. A quantitative
method was used for the study's data collection and analysis. The study employed
convenience sampling to collect data, with a sample consisting of 248 employees from
different departments inside a selected software organization. The results showed statistically significant relationships between several factors and worker satisfaction. The goal of the study is to help interested parties—particularly those in Sri Lanka's software industry—better understand, develop, and modify staff retention tactics.
