IMPACT OF TRAINING ON EMPLOYEE JOB PERFORMANCE AT FERENTINO TYRE CORPORATION PVT LTD

Abstract

Modern businesses often use their best strategies to excel in their fields. Human resource is the prime structure that holds together the integrity of modern evolving businesses. Ferentino Tyre Corporation Pvt Ltd is a BOI company located in Horana, Wagawatta, Export processing zone. Ferentino’s production facility is South-Asia’s largest tyre manufacturing facility. However, since the commencement of commercial operations of the company, significant loss of employee performance had been observed by the management. At first the indications were careless accidents, faulty products, misuse of equipment. Later on, it was decided that the aforesaid incidents together have resulted in less rates of employee job performance within the company. The aim of this study is to identify and elaborate the correlation between the factors such as training policy, training time and training materials on employee job performance. This study is conducted utilizing the mixed methodology where both qualitative and quantitative data are used to analyze and support fact of the problem statement. The study had clearly stated the reasons for lack of employee job performance and how training could elevate the current situation of the company. Furthermore, the study also includes conclusions (supported by analysis) and recommendation the researcher had compiled to eradicate, and mitigate the issue of employee job performance at Ferentino Tyre Corporation Pvt Ltd.
