| dc.description.abstract | A Research empirical investigation on the factors contributing to the motivation at XYZ Fashion Destination undertaken by the Rizwie in fulfillment of partial requirement for Chartered Qualification in Human Resource Management by the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management, Sri Lanka. XYZ Fashion Destination turnover rate of the employees in the organization is more than 25% for the past five years. The level of employee motivation is one of the important factors that affect the turnover rate of employees in any industry, and it also has a great influence on the control of the turnover rate. General objective of the research to identify factors contributing to the motivation of employees in XYZ Fashion Destination. And specific objectives are to identify the factors effecting motivation of employees and to identify the most dominant factor of motivation of employees in XYZ Fashion Destination. Salary and wages, working condition, career development and employee recognition are some of the factors contribute to the employee motivation. These four factors used as independent variables with motivation as the dependent variable to create the conceptual framework. Questionnaire and interviews were conduct to identify the hypotheses relationship to motivation. From the total more than one thousand and four hundred employees, one hundred and forty-two sales assistants as sample selected using the simple random sampling method. These data were collected and analyzed using SPSS software and Microsoft excel to identify the relationship between the independent variables and the dependent variable. Recommendations were also provided for areas of improvement based on the outcome and suggestions were provided on areas for further research. | en_US |
