Abstract:
This research project has done by K. T. M. De Silva with the aim of examine impact of the
positive workplace psychology on reducing the employee work-related stress for
organizational growth of Entek Lanka (Pvt) Ltd , a well-known leading solar energy
providing company in Sri Lanka. The impact of various factors of workplace psychology on
organization growth is explored in this research. The link between work- related stress and
workplace psychology can be considered as one of the most studied relationship in
organizational growth. This study is an attempt to assess the relationship between workplace
psychology and organizational growth with special reference to the management and
administrative staff in Entek Energy Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. Accordingly, the problem statement of
this research is “What is the impact of workplace psychology on organizational growth?
(Especially management and administrative staff employees) in Entek Lanka (Pvt) Ltd.
The main research objectives that the researcher was expecting to achieve through this
research was examine impact of the positive workplace psychology on reducing the employee
work- related stress for organizational growth in Entek Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. The study focusses
the employee as only to the management and administrative staff employees of Entek Energy
Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. There are four main objectives of this study. First one is, to know the overall
workplace psychology procedures of the company. Second one is, to identify the factors that
involves the high workplace stress. This would be the third objective and finally the last
objective is, giving out recommendations on possible actions the organization can take to
reduce the employee work-related stress for positive workplace psychology.
Hypothesis have been developed based on the assumption that there is a positive relationship
between workplace psychology factors and organizational growth. Such as work-life
balance, civility and respect, clear leadership and expectation and organizational culture.
This research was conducted using mix method. A sample of 32 management and
administrative employees from Entek Lanka (Pvt) Ltd will be selected for the study. The
population consists of forty management and administrative staff and sample thirty two
represents entire population. Data was gathered by using both quantitative and qualitative
sources. A self-designed survey with list of multiple choice questionnaire and interview to
ask open-ended questions was used as the main method of gathering data for the research.
The conclusion drawn from the data analysis of this research was there is a positive
relationship between workplace psychology and organizational growth.
