dc.description.abstract In the competitive business environment managing employee turnover is considered to be an important task for any organization. For every organization achieving its goals is a must for survival, in which retention of talented employees plays a major role. The natural tendency is that people look for diversity and seek challenging jobs with good working environments in new places. Therefore, managing employee turnover has received considerable attention in every organization and has proven to be one of the costliest and seemingly intractable human resource challenges. A private sector company by the name of ABC (PVT) Ltd, which has high employee turnover in Machine operators, was selected by the researcher for further investigation of factors contributing to turnover intention. The objective of this research is to identify the impact of job satisfaction on the turnover intention of machine operators in this company. Four factors contributing to turnover intention namely working conditions, pay and benefits, supervisory support and carrier opportunities were selected as independent variables in this research. This is a quantitative research and the data collected from a sample of 199 machine operators selected from a population of 408 through a closed end questionnaires and data analyzed using SPSS 25 statistical package. Employees’ concern on working conditions was found as the most significant factor while employees’ perception on pay and benefits, career opportunities and supervisory support respectively can be ranked as next significant factors based on the strength of correlation and level of significance. Based on findings of the research the researcher made recommendations to the management of this company. en_US
