Abstract:
Humans come in front among all other resources that organizations use to function. The uniqueness
of human resources is the cause. Humans are unique in their skills compared to other resources.
So, organizations should give their people resources more thought. The biggest problem facing
society has been health and safety. People's health and safety are not guaranteed at home or on the
road. In that circumstance, society places a higher importance on health and safety procedures.
Government rules and regulations set some health and safety standards. Culture imposes some of
them. While using human resources, one of the most important factors to take into account is
workplace health and safety. Due of its significance in the garment industry, where there are
several health and safety concerns, safety demands are ranked second in Maslow's hierarchy of
needs. Due to its extensive use of machinery, electricity, and production goals. The goal of this
study was to look into workplace health and safety in the apparel industry. What connection is
there between employee performance and health and safety.
As a result, one apparel industry organization was chosen to conduct this study, and the population
was non-managerial level personnel. Nonmanagerial employees made up the study's population,
and a sample of 100 of them were chosen at random to receive questionnaires in order to gather
data. Everyone at the company responded.
The questionnaire's statement was created using five-point Likert scales. Using statistical
techniques and Data Tab software, the collected data was examined (Data Tab). According to the
study, job performance among non-managerial employees and occupational health and safety are
positively correlated.
According to the research's findings, managers are advised to increase programs that raise the
organization's level of occupational health and safety in order to improve non-managerial
employees' job performance. Also, it is preferable to put more of an emphasis on researching how
other aspects affect job performance.
