Abstract:
Workforce diversity brings variation to a workforce, making it a strategic skill that can provide
organizations with a competitive edge. Effective administration of diverse human resources in the correct way can
draw profitability to organizations because human variety increases the flow of novelty, ingenuity, and
invention.There are research studies available for investigating the workforce diversity and its impact on employee
performance but no any research is conducted with the focus of Apprel sector and specially related to the
operational workers in the organization. This research is developed to examine the impact of workforce diversity
on employee performance for special reference to the operational level workers in Apparel Companies of the
western province of Sri Lanka. This study is conducted as a cross-sectional study and a deductive approach was
used.Reserach study is conducted in a quantitative nature and the survey technique is used for collect the
information. The 108 operational workers in theselected appreal companies have been selected as a sample for
the study.The Correlation and Regression analysis were performed to anayze the collected data.According to the
results obtained by the research, Employee Perforamance was impacted by age variety by 0.284. A significant
number of 0. 004 indicated that it was noteworthy. An increase in Educational background diversity would result
in a 0.294 increase in employee success. This influence was substantial, as evidenced by the significant figure of
0.003. Increases in faith variety have a 0.207 effect on employee Perforamance , with a significant value of 0.000.
Work experience variety had an effect on employee performance of 0.178, with a significant value of 0.028. it
was revealed that there was a positive and significant impact of workforce diversity on employee performance
refers to age diversity, educational background diversity, religious diversity and work experience diversity.
