Abstract:
The job performance work system is considered as most important employee work related activities to
success and progress of success of any organization. This study mainly focuses on identify the impact of job
performance work system on employee job satisfaction at Commercial banks in Sri Lanka. Since the highly
competitive and dynamic environment in the banking sector, bankers tend to do innovations and follow new trends
for performing their jobs perfectly. Therefore, effective job performance work system should have adapt regarding
to the external and internal factors. But in the Sri Lankan context, lots of organizations are used traditional human
resource management techniques. But the HR managers should develop the better job performance work system
for establish the stability in the industry. The data for this research collect from banking sector in Kalutara district.
Randomly selected the 108-sample using simple random method to collect data from respondents who are working
in Banking sector regional offices. The data collection method uses in this study is questionnaire method. The
questionnaire is designed to measure the two variables which are job performance work system and employee job
satisfaction. The data analysis included the univariate and bivariate analysis. The Statically Package for Social
Science (SPSS) was used to analyze the data. In this study, it is revealed that the Job Performance Work System
was positively and strongly correlated with Employee Job Satisfaction of bank assistants in Commercial banks in
Sri Lanka. It is concluded that there is a positive impact of Job Performance Work Systems on Employee Job
Satisfaction of banking sector employee in Kalutara district. Results of the study suggested that building and
implementing best practices for Job performance work systems within the banking sector might increase job
satisfaction of middle level bank employees in Sri Lanka.
