Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to identify the primary topics and present dynamics in the field of HighPerformance Work Practices and to make recommendations for future research directions. We conduct a
bibliometric analysis on a selection of 127 studies from the SCOPUS database to determine the extent of research
on board diversity between 2000 and early 2022. In this study researchers identify the most influential articles and
writers based on their citations and publications, as well as their geographical location and network impact.
Additionally, assess existing themes, identify bottlenecks to growth in the literature, and recommend future study
options. While research on High Performance Work Practices happens globally, there is a dearth of collaboration
across national borders, particularly between writers from developed and developing countries. The majority of
research on High Performance Work practices is focused with the relationship with organisational performance,
with scant consideration paid to resilience and cognitive approach. Lastly conclude by proposing possible avenues
for future research.
