Abstract:
When employees performs well and efficiently, morale in the working environment gets a
enhanced. On the other hand, employees who are not motivated to get their jobs done can bring
down an entire department. So it is always crucial to foster a positive, energetic work platform
and in this platform, the role of Supervisor’s plays a huge part and the objective of this study
was to study the impact of the support of those supervisors on employee performance among
non-executive employees of ABC Food Company.
In this research study, employee performance was the dependent variable and supervisor’s
support selected as the independent variable. Under the supervisor’s support, three sub
independent variables were identified as supervisor commitment, Job guidelines and
Communication. Based on these sub variables, three hypotheses were developed to test in the
study. To carry out this research, mix methodology was used. Simple random sampling was
used and 83% of supervisors were selected from ABC Food Company as the sample size. Prestructured questionnaire was used to collect primary data and secondary data was collected
using, productivity reports and website information in the company.
Final results of this research indicate that there is significant positive relationship between
supervisor’s support and employee performance and job guidelines as the most critical
predictor. Implications of the findings and recommendations are offered.
