Abstract:
Employee motivation is one of the basic factor which affects for the success of any
organization. Leadership styles play a main role in motivating employees.
Transformational Leadership is one of the basic leadership style which affects for the
motivation of employees.
The purpose of the study was to identify the impact of transformational leadership on
motivation of employees in ABC International (Pvt.) Ltd and also the level of impact
on each dimension on employee motivation while providing the recommendations to
issues and future researches.
The null and alternative hypothesis was built for each dimension. The null hypothesis
showed that there is no impact on each independent variable on employee motivation
while alternative hypothesis describe that there is an impact on each independent
variable on employee motivation. The research was carried out according to Saunder‟s
onion model. The selected sample was 100 machine operators. The simple random
sampling method was used to collect the data and questionnaire was distributed to
collect data under primary data collection .The secondary data was collected through
interviews. Mainly quantitative data was used. Questionnaire designed to collect the
data from employees by using Likert scale as strongly agree, agree, neutral, disagree
and strongly disagree.
The impact and the relationship was analyzed using Pearson correlation and
regression analysis. Data was analyzed through SPSS. It was found that there is a
significant positive relationship between transformational leadership and employee
motivation. Leaders must pay more attention on transformational leadership as it
enhances employee motivation.
Therefore the author suggests that there is a positive impact on transformational
leadership on employee motivation
