Abstract:
Work-life balance is a concept emphasizing the balance of work-related duties and individual wellbeing, productivity, and overall life satisfaction. It is important for both employees and employers. In today’s
world, work-life balance (WLB) is one of the most difficult issues that many women encountered. Since many
organizations have a greater number of female employees, it is one of the key factors in employee performance
and productivity. Assisting women in balancing their personal and work lives is essential for achieving maximum
contribution from female employees to organizational goals. The purpose of this research is to investigate worklife balance factors impacting the work-life balance of married working women in the garment sector, with a
focus on a selected apparel firm in the Kurunegala district of Sri Lanka. Work-family conflict, marital status, and
gender were all important predictors of work-life balance. According to the existing research, work-life balance
factors have a significant effect on work-life balance among Sri Lankan garment industry employees. The study
selected 120 married female employees by using random selection techniques to gather data. Pearson correlation
was applied to determine the relationship between the demographic factors and married working women's worklife balance. The findings of the study reveal a significant positive link between work-life balance factors and the
work-life balance of working women at the 0.01 level. After the study, the researchers concluded that there is a
significant relationship between childcare, organizational support, family support, and the work-life balance of
married working women based on the regression analysis.
