The apparel industry relies heavily on human resources, which are crucial for productivity. In the
risky Sri Lankan economy, employees seek higher rewards, incentives, and wages to cover living
expenses. To achieve higher performance, organizations adopt both monetary and non-monetary
rewards. Managers must analyze employee needs to create successful motivation systems.
According to that the study researcher general objective is to find out the positive relationship
between “The Effect of Salary & Incentives on Employee Motivation” and to identify the
significant of wages and incentives, the current weaknesses incentives methods, goals and
objectives of incentives and get understanding satisfaction of employees and with feedbacks.
Many organizations use various types of salary and incentives Scheme. But the problem is they
don’t know whether their scheme can motivate employees or not. Then, we should have an idea
regarding how salary and incentives useful for employees and should identify what are the
weaknesses of salary and incentives schemes. Hence, the main purpose of this research is to study
about the effect of Salary and incentives on employee motivation. This study is conducted by using
sample of 110 associate employees extracted from the population of 1084 employees.
Questionnaires are distributed among employees and asked to indicate their preference based on
five-point Likert scale. Finally, collected data evaluated by using Statistical Package for Social
Sciences (SPSS 20.0) using the statistical techniques such as mean, mode, variance, standard
deviation, correlation& Regression analysis. Finally, findings of this research reveals that there is
a positive relationship salary and incentives on employee motivation in Hirdaramani Industries
(Pvt) Ltd, Seethawaka. |
