| dc.description.abstract | With the challenging work environment today, when the line between professional and personal life is blurred, it becomes extremely hard to maintain a proper balance between work and life. The JD-R Model provides a very strong theoretical framework to understand the dynamic by distinguishing work-related factors as job demands and job resources. Now a days Work-life balance has become an important contributor to both organizational and employee health. Due to the increasing set of expectations in today's workplace, the struggle to manage simultaneously the job and personal life has increased considerably. Work-life balance calls for more than time management; it is about the emotional and psychological effort an employee invests in meeting the competing demands of work and family life. It also came out that organizational support was an important ingredient in achieving a proper balance between work and life. The study thus recommends, to ABC Company, measures aimed at alleviating employee well-being in respect of workload, job control, and clarity of roles. Future research can widen the scope into other variables and contexts. | en_US |
