| dc.description.abstract | Manufacturing employers are engaged in a fierce battle for talent, and retaining valued employees is a critical component of winning that battle. It is critical that the manufacturing industry retains those hard-won, qualified team members, especially given how difficult it can be to recruit them and the growing skills gap. Turnover is a sign that employers are not recruiting the right people and are not doing enough to create an environment in which employees will stay and be productive. This research was based on the factors affecting retention in ABC the apparel industry. When considering the last few years, it has been identified that the ABC apparel industry is facing an increasing rate of turnover of staff members. The purpose of this research is, to find the actual reasons behind the turnover and provide suggestions to retain people. The sample consisted of 100 staff members in the company. The data were gathered by administrating questionnaires and distributed to the sample. After the successful survey, the result indicated rewards, extensive training & high-performance work practices have strong positive relationship with retention. And the researcher identified that the other variables except the rewards are highly impact with the retention of the company. The study also identified some recommendations to increase employee satisfaction of the staff members as well. Finally, the hypothesis of extensive training has impact of retention & high-performance work practice has impact on retention were accepted & rewards has impact of retention was rejected. Then the researcher identified that extensive training & highperformance work practices more affect employee retention than rewards in the ABC apparel industry. | en_US |
