| dc.description.abstract | In recent decades, companies are trying to manage their HR activities easily and efficiently. As HRM infused with ICT, processing HR data was very convenient to the HR personnel at the organizations. Therefore combination of both HRM and ICT at the companies were facilitated to revolutionize the HRISs. Especially in the apparel context, companies have to daily manage a larger pool of employees. This is a challenging task to the HR personnel therefore, they tend to highly depend on the HRIS to strengthen their HR activities to perform efficiently. Because Effective management of HR activities through HRISs are significantly affect to the improvement of employee performance. Therefore, author decided to conduct a study about the impact of HRISs to the employee performance of a selected apparel manufacturing company in Sri Lanka. For that author chosen the Courtaulds Clothing (pvt) Ltd Company. Among the target population, 100 employees of this apparel company has been selected by using the simple random sampling technique. Both primary and secondary data has been utilized but only primary data was used to analysis. Structured questionnaire was used to gather required primary data for the study. It basically contained one section to gather demographic details and another two sections to gather data for the deponent and independent variables. Collected primary data was analyzed by using SPSS software. Further, some of the statistical techniques such as reliability analysis, frequency analysis, descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis were used. According to the analyzed data, impact of each independent variable to the dependent variable was positive but slightly differ. E employee progress evaluation module on employee performance shows the most significant positive impact however the other independent variables also have a positively impacted to the employee performance of the selected apparel company. Based on the findings, author suggested to arrange awareness programs for the worker regarding HRISs which can support to enhance their knowledge and skills. Because, these awareness will also help them to actively engage with their ICT environment in the workplace. Further future implications for the company and future researchers has been given. Though there were many limitations, author was able to overcome them and develop an important research study to the academic world. | en_US |
