dc.description.abstract Employee commitment plays a major role in organizational success at it directly effect to employee job performance. The XYZ (Pvt) Ltd is a head office of reputed apparel group which located in Colombo and researcher has taken an effort to identify the impact on employee commitment on employee job performance with referencing XYZ Company. To study the background to identify the impact of employee commitment on employee job performance of the XYZ (Pvt) Ltd and to suggest recommendations to survive & improve employee’s performance. Nowadays employee commitment is playing a major role for the organizational success & survival. XYZ company is a apparel head office that works nearly 390 staff level employees. This study will support the study the impact of employee commitment on employee job performance, and it helps XYZ company to identify the commitment gap of the employees who working at the XYZ. The study basically quantitative research because all the data collects from questioner are converted as form of number to analyze the data. The significant target population of this study is those people who are working at the XYZ Company without considering the races, ages, educational level. The study focuses on 196 staff level employees among 390 of staff level employees from XYZ according to the morgan table. As a crucial part of employee job performance, employee commitment has a strong positive relationship with employee job performance in XYZ (Pvt) Ltd. The findings of this study have provided evidence that all the employee commitment categories including affective commitment, normative commitment and continuance commitment have impact on the employee job performance. en_US
