| dc.description.abstract | Work-family conflict is the incompatibility between work and family lives. This paper is a literature review from the Western and Sri Lankan studies on antecedents, moderators and consequences of is a literature review in which literature from Western and Sri Lankan areas would be reviewed relating to antecedents, moderators and consequences of WFC. Studies in Sri Lanka have shown that work-family conflict is a problem for working people. Research to date has identified many antecedents, moderators, and consequences of work-family conflict, as well as conflicts crossing from the family to the work domain and vice versa (that is, permeability of conflicts or spillover). Antecedents of work-family conflict can be categorised into individual factors, and home- and work-related factors. Similarly, there are health, family-, and work-related consequences of work-family conflict. Further, studies have found many individual, family and work-related factors as moderators. | en_US |
