dc.description.abstract Study investigated the association between Human Resource Management practices and knowledge sharing in private sector banking organizations in Sri Lanka. The method of exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis were employed to evaluate the reliability and validity of the measurement model. The structural equation modeling (SEM) method was applied to examine the theoretical framework. Overall empirical findings indicate that HRM practices with the moderate impact of organizational culture and organization-based trust have a significant positive impact on knowledge sharing as perceived by the executive and above grade employees of private sector banking organizations in Sri Lanka. The sample data collected for this study have only focused on private sector banking organizations. Future research may consider collecting data from different industries in both service and manufacturing sectors for a more comprehensive study. Findings from this study should be beneficial for HRM managers in developing countries such as Sri Lanka, who plan to develop competitive knowledge sharing competencies through the adoption of HRM practices. en_US
