dc.description.abstract This study investigates the impact of employee training on performance within the apparel industry of Sri Lanka, focusing specifically on operational-level employees at ABC Company. Given the industry's crucial role in the country's economy, it is imperative for organizations to adapt to external changes effectively. The primary objective of this study is to examine the relationship between training needs assessment, content, delivery methods, evaluation, and employee performance. To achieve this, a sample of 100 operational-level employees who have completed relevant training programs was randomly selected from ABC Company. The study variables examined in this research include training needs assessment, training content, delivery methods, evaluation, and their impact on employee performance within the Sri Lankan apparel industry. Data was collected through a structured questionnaire consisting of 25 questions, where the collected data was then analyzed using SPSS software. The findings of this study provide empirical support for the hypothesis that there exists a positive association between employee training and performance. These results underscore the significance of training in enhancing organizational performance. This study contributes to the existing literature by highlighting the crucial role of employee training in the context of the Sri Lankan apparel industry. It underscores the importance of strategic training initiatives in adapting to the dynamic business environment and maintaining a skilled and motivated workforce. The implications of this study suggest that organizations should prioritize training as a key component of their human resource management strategies. By investing in training programs that are tailored to the specific needs of employees, organizations can enhance their performance, productivity, and competitiveness. Additionally, the findings emphasize the need for continuous evaluation and improvement of training programs to ensure their effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals. In conclusion, this study highlights the crucial role of employee training in the garment industry of Sri Lanka. The findings emphasize the need for organizations to prioritize training initiatives to enhance employee performance and navigate the dynamic business environment effectively. en_US
