| dc.description.abstract | The study investigates the Impact of Training and Development on Employee Performance among Bank Associates in one of the leading Private Commercial Bank in Sri Lanka. The main objective of the study was to identify the impact of Training and Development on Employee Performance. The data was collected using simple random sampling technique and sample size was 108 Bank Associates in the company. Out of 150 employees 108 respondents were selected to analyze the data. A structured questionnaire was administered to collect the data and that were analyzed using SPSS version 25.0. Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient and regression analysis were used to analyze the data. Training and Development was evaluated by using four dimensions i.e., Employee Motivation, Job Satisfaction, Effective Communication and Effective Leadership. The findings of the study revealed that Training and Development has a positive significant impact with Employee Performance. Moreover, the findings indicated that Employee Motivation, Job Satisfaction, Effective Communication and Effective Leadership have a positive significant impact to Employee Performance. According to the analysis, most influential variable that affect the Employee Performance is Effective Communication (r2 = 0.792, p< 0.01), while Effective Leadership has the least influence on Employee Performance (r2 = 0.721, p< 0.01). Therefore, the study concluded that Training and Development has a positive impact on Employee Performance. According to the findings this leading Private Commercial Bank need to consider on addressing competency gaps for Training and Development to improve Employee Performance. | en_US |
