dc.description.abstract Job involvement is an essential aspect of an employee’s job life cycle and is form a part of an effective human resource management process. Also, job involvement is directly connected to organizational performance as well. In this descriptive analysis, it was intended to study the factors that determine the performance of the organization caused by job involvement in the Flexible packaging industry in Sri Lanka. The study is based on a Flexible Packaging Company, a Sri Lankan large scale printing manufacturer and a distributor. The study evaluated seven independent variables namely (a) support within the organization, (b) personal traits, (c) relationship with peers (d) training and development. The organizational performance resulted from job involvement is considered as the determinant. A mixed methodology with an inductive approach was used to identify the relationship. The study identified that only three variables namely (a) support within the organization, (b) personal traits, (c) relationship with peers (d) training and development have a relationship with organizational performance. The study contributes academically through filling gaps in past research that do not consider the impact applied by the individuals' esteem, social influence, and Environment concern on job involvement by the individual employee. The small sample size is the major limitation of this study when generalizing research outcomes to the real world. This research initiates the pathways to do future in-depth research especially considering the globalization effect in the flexible packaging industry. en_US
