dc.description.abstract The construction industry is involved in the creation of physical assets that are the foundation of almost every element of development, and therefore in the creation of a significant amount of man-made capital across the world. In Sri Lankan construction industry, quantity surveyors are facing major problem that they can’t work under highly stress situations. The quantity surveyors must operate properly and effectively in cases such as mega projects. The financial and commercial management services provided by quantity surveyors are critical to the success of construction projects. The main objective of the study is to identify the impact of stress management on the job performance of quantity surveyors in Sri Lankan construction industry. A mixed methodology of quantitative data collected through the questionnaire survey and used to identify the relationship between stress management factors due to the job performance of quantity surveyors in the construction industry. It was proved from correlation analysis as well as their impacts were analyzed through the regression analysis by SPSS software. Qualitative data obtained through ten semi- structured, expert interviews were analyzed using content analysis. The analysis approved that there is a requirement for implementation of stress management strategies to the quantity surveyors in the construction industry. According to the semi-structured interviews with the professionals they were clearly stated the requirement of stress management strategies to the current construction industry and the importance of implementing stress management strategies to the quantity surveyors in the construction industry. This study is examined the impact of stress management on the job performance of the quantity surveyors in Sri Lanka's building industry. In addition, further research can be done on an individual, project-by-project, or company-wide basis. en_US
