dc.description.abstract At present the HR industry is moving towards new directions and attempt to minimize human errors, low productivity and increase the performance of the employees. As recognized through current research there is a strong connection between workplace environment and employee mental well- being and performance. Mental well- being is considered as one the major factors that affects employee job satisfaction as well as their performance, because if one's mind is relaxed, he can give his maximum capacity to his workplace. Recent researches on relationship between workplace environment and mental well- being concluded that there is a great impact on employee’s mental well- being and performance on physical environment. Modern employees find themselves in a very complicated office structure and use sophisticated technology. Moreover, researchers have found out that the work environment including air quality and lighting have an impact on the employee health. A good organization is one which takes care of its employees. This is often done by paying attention to their workplace environment. This is because the employees spend substantial part of the time of their lives at the workplace while carrying out their work. Hence, workplace environment influences their cognitive and emotional states, concentration, behavior, actions, and abilities. Environmental psychological strategies as well as ergonomics are found as key shapers in the bridge the gap between workplace stress and its impact on employee’s performance. The main purpose of this study to examine the relationship between workplace environment and employee mental well-being as well as their performance. Primary data were collected through survey and interview method and data were analyzed through mix method using qualitative and quantitative techniques. en_US
