dc.description.abstract The empirical study was conducted to examine the influence of talent management on employee engagement of technicians in Sri Lankan Telecom PLC (SLT). The specific objectives of the study are to identify the influence of talent management on employee engagement, and suggest recommendations to improve employee engagement towards talent management. Using a random sampling technique, a structured questionnaire was distributed to collect the data for a 299 sample size of technicians working in Regional operations in SLT. Out of 299 samples, 206 responses were selected to analyze the data. Data analysis was carried out by using SPSS version 26. Cronbach’s Alpha, descriptive statistics, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and regression analysis were applied to analyze the collected data. Talent management was evaluated by four main dimensions Talent Development, Career Development, employee supervision, and employee recognition. As per the findings of the study, it was revealed that talent management has a positive and strong influence on employee engagement (r= 0.764, p<0.01) which is 58.4% of the total variance of Employee engagement. Further, the findings indicate that Talent Development, Career Development, employee supervision, and employee recognition have a positive and significant relationship with employee engagement. Therefore, this study concludes that talent management has a positive and strong influence on employee engagement. Further, Sri Lanka Telecom should implement strategic human resource processes to improve talent management practices to boost employee engagement. en_US
