Job satisfaction has a direct link to the employee turnover. Based on the results of the pilot survey,
researcher identified that the ABC Company was suffering from high employee turnover since 2019 at the lowlevel category. The general purpose of this study is to examine the impact of less job satisfaction, affecting to high
employee turnover in low-level category employees at ABC Company in Kurunegala. High employee turnover
was the dependent variable of this study. The job satisfaction was selected as the independent variable and under
that workload, appreciation and recognition, training and development, compensation management variables were
identified. And four hypothesizes were developed to test in this study. This is a quantitative, cross-sectional study
where simple random sampling was used and 85% of the staff of ABC Company was selected as the sample size.
Pre-structured questionnaire was used to collect primary data while secondary data were collected from research
documents, leave records, documents on exist interviews and the company annual report. Data analysis was done
by the SPSS software using the techniques of descriptive statistics, correlation, regression, and ANOVA. The
research outcome statistically proved that there is a significant positive relationship between the job satisfaction
and the high employee turnover. With regards to the ABC Company, the researcher highly recommends hiring
the right people for the company who have the right qualifications to reduce high employee turnover. |
