For the reason of its employees working for long and odd hours, it will be beneficial to investigate the mental health and well-being of its workforce for movement from a task-oriented organization to a people-oriented organization. Several studies indicate that there are numerous factors affecting the mental well-being of employees at work. The main aim of this synthesis of various studies is to draw a comparison of mental health and well-being antecedents (stressors and protectors) between the healthcare and hospitality industries worldwide. Electronic literature searches (Science Direct, Emerald, and other databases) were conducted within the time frame of 2019 to 2023, published in English language journals and 428 articles were filtered. This review is based on 25 related articles meeting eligibility criteria. The findings indicate that employees across industries experience work-related stress and surplus overload.
