The purpose of this study by XYZ organization is to explore the impact of leadership
and work-life balance on job satisfaction. This quantitative study involves hypothesis
testing and is conducted with minimal researcher interference. The study is crosssectional, with individual employees as the units of analysis. The entire employee
population was included, using a sample size of 60 selected through simple random
sampling. Data was collected through a self-directed questionnaire, which was
translated into Sinhala language because the factory workers couldn't understand
English. To address the gap, a set of hypotheses was developed based on theoretical
and empirical justifications.
According to the statistical analysis of the data, the study has shown a significant
correlation between leadership and job satisfaction, while no significant correlation has
been found between work-life balance and job satisfaction. However, upon closer
examination of the data, it has been identified that the majority of employees are not
satisfied due to several factors, such as the incentive provided by the organization,
current pay scale, the performance evaluation process, and working environment. The
data will be further evaluated using SPSS, by exploring these key factors, the study
aims to provide valuable insights into the organization's internal dynamics, highlight
areas for improvement, and offer practical recommendations to enhance employee job
satisfaction, management practices, and overall well-being. |
