Abstract:
Workplace diversity is a critical factor influencing organizational performance and employee
productivity in the contemporary corporate standpoint. It is described the impact of workplace diversity on the job
performance of management-level employees at the Regional Development Bank (RDB) Head Office in Sri Lanka.
Specifically, it explores how demographic diversity (age, gender, ethnicity) and cognitive diversity (educational
background) influence management level employees’ job performance. The study is a quantitative one to provide
a comprehensive understanding of the relationship between workplace diversity and management level employees’
job performance. Findings are expected to reveal both the benefits and challenges associated with workplace
diversity, highlighting key factors that enhance or hinder managerial efficiency. The study focuses on providing
practical recommendations for leveraging workplace diversity to improve employee engagement, decision making, and overall organizational effectiveness at RDB. The research contributes to the existing literature on
workplace diversity in the Sri Lankan banking sector and offers insights for policymakers and HR professionals
to foster an inclusive and high-performing work environment.
