Abstract:
This study explores the impact of work-life balance on job performance, specifically among teachers
in semi-government schools in Sri Lanka. Work-life balance, a critical factor influencing employee satisfaction
and productivity, is often challenged by the dual demands of professional and personal responsibilities. Drawing
from prior research, this study investigates the relationship between work-life balance and teacher performance,
examining factors such as leadership, personal characteristics, and management skills. Insights from this research
aim to address gaps in the literature and propose strategies to enhance work-life balance, thereby improving
teacher effectiveness and overall well-being. The findings contribute to developing targeted interventions to
support educators in achieving a harmonious balance between their professional and personal lives.
