dc.description.abstract Turnover intention is an indication of the level of workload and job stress in an organization. Hence, the objective of this paper is to examine the mediating role of Job stress in the relationship between workload and Employee Turnover Intention in an Apparel manufacturing company in Sri Lanka. A pre-structured questionnairebased survey was conducted among 226 Sewing machine operators using a cross-sectional approach in order to accomplish the objective. Regression analysis, Pearson's correlation, and the Sobel Test were used to analyze the data. According to the results, there is a significant positive correlation between workload and turnover intention, and Job stress has been found to mediate the relationship. The study's findings support preventing or controlling issues with workload, Job stress, and Employee Turnover Intention. en_US
