| dc.description.abstract | Work-life balance is an important topic in both professional business practice and academic research. As family and work are the most important elements of everyone’s life, Imbalance between work and life can negatively affect wellbeing of employees. The main objective of this study is to carry out research on Work-Life Balance of retail clothing company employees in Sri Lanka and recognize the factors affecting Work-Life Balance. The target population of this study is retail clothing company employees employing in 5 branches across the country of ABC Pvt. Ltd. In this study the factors which can affect work-life balance of employees were measured using the independent variables job stress, working hours, workload and organizational support. Data were gathered through questionnaire, discussions and interviews. Questionnaire was made using existing research variables. The data were analyzed through IBM SPSS statistics 24. In this study R2 value was used to show the positive impact of independent variables and dependent variable. R2 value for all the 4 variables on work-life balance is 0.569. R2 value for the impact of single independent variable on dependent variable values are, 0.444 for job stress, 0.369 for working hours, 0.498 for workload and 0.448 for organizational support. This study identified that the impact of independent variables on work-life balance is positive and Workload has the highest impact on work-life balance while working hours has the lowest impact on work-life balance. It was recognized that employers can improve work-life balance by reducing the workload, supporting employees to reduce stress, implementing friendly flexible time and providing more support. | en_US |
