dc.description.abstract The main purpose of this research study was to assess the impact of employee engagement on employee job satisfaction bridging the lacuna in the context of hotel and tourism. Hence, the impact of employee engagement on both intrinsic and extrinsic dimensions of job satisfaction was assessed. This is a quantitative, cross-sectional, field study in which the primary data were collected through a self-administrated, standard questionnaire which has met the standards of reliability and validity. Universal sampling technique was applied where the entire population was considered into the study sample. Data analysis was done with the aid of SPSS employing the techniques of descriptive statistics, correlation, regression, and ANOVA. The study elucidated employee engagement has a significantly positive relationship to both intrinsic satisfaction and extrinsic satisfaction with an impact of 54% and 57% respectively. Moreover, employee engagement and job satisfaction showed a strong, positive, and significant relationship with 62% of the impact of employee engagement on job satisfaction. Not limited to engagement, management can execute plans based on factors considering both intrinsic and extrinsic satisfaction via mirror model.
