| dc.description.abstract | Absenteeism at workplace has always been one of the most common problems in any industry. It is commonly understood as an employee or a group of employees remaining absent from work either continuously for a long period or repeatedly for short periods due to many reasons. The present study has been designed a survey method to understand the causes for the employee absenteeism in the workplace. Total of 60 participants were selected through purposive sample technique form GSKCH, Nabha, Punjab, India. From the study, it is found that most of the employees were absent at workplace due to the harvesting seasons, personal problems and addiction of drug & alcohol. On the other hand, working conditions and visiting place were not significant impact on absenteeism at workplace. To conclude, the company has to make rewards’ to their the employees or else providing counseling services to the employees by making them aware of these benefits would bring down the absenteeism in the workplace. | en_US |
