dc.description.abstract The general objective of the study is to assess the impact of organizational factors on employee turnover intention in apparel industry, a case study of ABC Apparel Company. The study was guided by the following specific objectives; to evaluate the actual reasons for employee turnover at ABC Apparel Company. This research employed a descriptive research design since the study intendeds to gather quantitative and qualitative data that describes the nature and characteristics of the factors affecting on employee turnover. The target population for the study comprised a total of 551 employees working at ABC Apparel Company. Stratified sampling was employed in this study. The target population was direct workers in the company. Primary data was collected using structured questionnaires. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS and presented in form of figures and tables. The study found out that the organization was experiencing high cases of employee turnover. Most respondents indicated that Family issues and organizational conflicts affected organization employee turnover intention. Most respondents felt that the organization had employed various measures to manage employee turnover. High rate of employee’s turnover impacted negatively on organization productivity since most of the experienced and highly productive workers were lost and it took a long time before the newly recruited workers. Work environment denied the employees with an opportunity for comfortably skills development and if not, this encouraged most of the employees to leave the organization and seek jobs in organization that offered salary & allowances opportunities. If, organization management was not commitment to employees’ skills and life development, this hampered exposure of employees. The study concluded that factors of employee turnover intention that impacted on organizational employee turnover included work environment, organizational conflicts, family problems, salary & allowances. en_US
