The Case Study at Omega Line Ltd Vavuniya Apparel aimed to understand the collaborative efforts of
key departments—Human Resources (HR), Production, Information System and Finance—in achieving
organizational goals. HR's pivotal role in facilitating communication, coordination, and decision-making across
these departments was particularly emphasized, showcasing HRM contribution to enhancing overall
performance. The primary data were collected using the semi structured questionnaire, observation and focus
group discussion guidelines. The secondary data were collected via refereeing website of omega line and their
publications. The collected data were analyzed using thematic analytical techniques. The study showcased a
well-integrated, efficient, and innovative organization that thrives on cross-functional collaboration, operational
excellence, and employee engagement. HR plays a central role in fostering interdepartmental alignment,
workforce development, and compliance, contributing significantly to the company’s overall success. The study
highlights that the crucial role of HR in the apparel industry, its role in cross functional collaboration and
addressing challenges like high turnover, workforce management, and seasonal production demands |
