dc.description.abstract The apparel manufacturing industry is undergoing a significant transformation due to the integration of digitalization, artificial intelligence (AI), and automation. These technological advances present both challenges and opportunities, particularly in workforce transformation and adoption. Despite the increasing role of digital technologies, there remains a gap in understanding the necessary workforce qualifications, digital competencies, and educational frameworks required to facilitate this transition. The apparel sector is currently behind in evaluating workers' digital abilities and identifying the competences required to succeed in an AI-driven workplace, according to an assessment of the literature. The absence of a thorough qualifying framework in existing research makes it challenging to assess the readiness of the labor force today. The conversation also demonstrates how traditional educational and training programs fall short in providing workers with the digital skills required for long-term employment in a field that is always changing. The necessity for updated and modernized training programs is highlighted by the possibility that the current educational framework cannot keep up with the quick changes in technology. The results highlight the need for a proactive strategy in workforce transformation, which includes creating standardized methods for skill assessments and incorporating industry relevant digital capabilities into training programs. According to the study's findings, policy makers, business executives, and academic institutions should work together to put workforce adaptation methods into action. The apparel industry can overcome obstacles, capture new opportunities, and ensure a workforce that is sustainable and prepared for the future by adopting digital transformation in a methodical way. en_US
